Heya @everyone I finally did it and managed to finish my paid art TDL I'm so happy honestly, I just wanted to thank everyone again for putting up with me and how long I took and for your patience and understanding. I'm eternally grateful for everyone that supported me and I promise never to overload myself with art again and make people wait this long! (Of course there was also this injury but I think it was from the stress and overwork, ya know?) Love you all x I'm moving to the UK in June and until then after a break I need to save up for a ticket and spending money there so what are ya'll interested in seeing from me from now on? <3 Will be doing more experimental and off base things from now on and working on improving and expanding my art. Hey guys, been taking a while to get to updating people as things were just incredibly overwhelming for a while. Last Tuesday my boyfriend of 3+ years and I broke up, it was peaceful and mutual but still a painful experience that turned my life on its head. I moved out the same day to stay with family nearby temporarily (my mom happened to be in Johannesburg visiting them at the time.) and then last Saturday my family helped me get the rest of my things. On Monday I flew down to Cape Town with my mom and I'm staying with my mom and sister and her husband until I can get on my own feet and find my own place. On Monday next week I'm going to an upper limb specialist and getting cortisone injections into my tendon sheath in my wrist and hopefully that will be closing the book on this De Quervain's Tenosynovitis injury for good. I can't wait, it's been an incredibly rough 10 months trying to provide for myself as a freelance digital artist with an injured drawing hand ;;

I'm really excited for this new chapter in my life, I adore Cape Town and I plan to find a job here ASAP. As soon as my hand is recovered or less painful after this treatment I'll be firstly finishing all owed art and then I'll be trying new things and expanding my skills, especially anatomy to move on to making art I'm happier with and proud of ;u; I'll probably still put together outfit sets here and there on base as I think it makes sense to use them for that but otherwise I really want to come into my own style and find passion and love for my art again. Hey guys, as you might have seen in my status I'm currently healing from De Quervain's Tendonitis in my right hand (my dominant/drawing hand).

I'm really hoping it works because honestly it doesn't feel any better yet and I've been resting it and wearing the splint for around 12 days already. My only source of income is art and I'm severely broke rn with less than $1 in my account :'D

I'm looking for a job right now and hoping to get one ASAP but in the mean time I really need funds to get by for electricity, water and especially food, I have these open character sales below:

Hey guys, I just wanted to make a post here as I haven't updated my health situation on dA at all recently.

I'll keep it short and sweet, but basically the last 8 months I've had issues with pain/inflammation in my right hand wrist and particularly up the side of my thumb. My financial situation sadly prevented me from being able to rest long enough to really heal and recently (the last month - 1.5 months) the injury worsened to the point where it would start hurting after very little activity.

Last week I cried on the phone to my mom because I really didn't know what to do, I couldn't afford to get it treated myself and I couldn't work enough to bring in enough for my rent for the last 2 months along with a general struggle to make sales recently as well. She said she'd pay for it so I went to my GP last week, had x-rays done in case of arthritis (which it isn't, fortunately!) and was diagnosed with De Quervain's tendonitis, and today I went to a prosthetist and got a splint that immobilizes my wrist and thumb. So unfortunately I can't do any art (or anything really) with my right hand (my dominant hand) for the next ~3 weeks, I wanted to finish my TDL this month but obviously that's not possible now :c

I'm also desperately searching for a job as I'm unable to provide for myself at all at the moment and I was already behind with rent. I'll be okay, my family has been very supportive but I just wanted to post an update so people are aware of my absence and why, love to all of you and happy holidays <3
